Dream of Stones Cappadocia

We got a dreamlike Nevşehir stay in the King Suite, with a jacuzzi, welcome drink, and gifts in the room. The hotel is conveniently located and charming, with carefully chosen wood carvings, wall finishes, and decor. From the warm greeting at the entrance, we felt like staying in the room. It was spacious, clean, warm, bright, airy, brand new, and comfortable. The parking lot beside the hotel is roomy, and breakfast was satisfying. It felt worth the money.

The rooms were tidy and clean, and the hotel seems new, with no wear on the materials. Still, breakfast and customer service felt a bit weak. The buffet was meager: a small warm omelet or sausage and egg dish, a little plate of dried-out potatoes, and a hard, ice-cold pastry. We mentioned it and were told they’d replace it if they could fix it, but it stayed that way. We arrived after 5 pm to the room we’d booked with a jacuzzi. Once inside, a staff member told us it was broken, apparently damaged by the previous guest. We asked why we hadn’t been told earlier so we could arrange another room. The manager said they’d repair it right away and a technician would arrive around 7 pm. The technician was already there when we went out, and when we returned around 11 pm, work was still going on in our room. It didn’t take long, but we didn’t want that happening. Guests should be informed and offered another room before they’ve settled in for the evening. The manager also said the technician had cut power to that area because of an outage, so we heard conflicting explanations from two employees. Otherwise, the hotel and rooms were good. It would be much better if they improved the breakfast and service.

The whirlpool was a lovely way to unwind in the evenings after a long day, and parking was easy. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, tasty and varied, with personal requests taken care of. The hotel’s location worked well, with many places easy to reach. Dream of Stones in Cappadocia (Nevşehir) was brand new when we stayed, and we were among its first guests. Everything felt modern and very clean, and we quickly felt at home. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with hot air balloon rides. Someone on-site kept us updated on the weather, arranged short-notice flights, and helped us get good prices. It was all exceptionally well organized. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would definitely return.
