The building I stayed in was around 300 metres uphill from the hotel address on Google Maps, which made the location less convenient than I'd expected. From what I understand, there are two newer buildings, one about 50 metres from the main property and another roughly 300 metres away, where my room was. I recommend checking the exact location of your room type with the hotel before booking, since it may not be in the main building shown on the map. The room itself was great: spacious, modern, and comfortable, in one of the newer buildings. It was alright quality-wise, but not the traditional cave hotel stay some visitors may expect.

We also booked a sunset horse ride, which was relaxing and enjoyable. For the stay itself, we chose a second-floor balcony room in the main building since we didn't want a traditional cave room. It worked out well: spacious, nicely furnished, with a comfortable sofa. The location was perfect, a 5-10 minute walk from the center and close to a great night viewpoint. Breakfast was a highlight. It was a generous, tasty traditional Turkish spread, and I especially loved the gözleme freshly made by the woman serving breakfast. The Green Tour we booked through the hotel was the letdown. Its itinerary didn't match what we'd been sent on WhatsApp: it skipped Ihlara Valley hiking and Selime Monastery, changed the lunch place, added two shopping stops, and finished about an hour early. That was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend booking tours through the hotel. If plans change, they should tell you ahead of time. There are plenty of agencies in town, so I'd research and choose one that suits what you're looking for. Even with that, I still think this is a great place to stay, especially for breakfast 😋
This family-run hotel was very friendly, and we had a wonderful time. We booked the cave family hotel plus another room on the second floor, and both were spacious. The staff gave us great suggestions for hikes and restaurants. Their Turkish breakfast kept us fueled for our hikes. I'd highly recommend staying here and wouldn't hesitate to tell my friends to come too.
The hotel's breakfast terrace gave us a spectacular view of the balloons at 7am. On our first morning, we were lucky to see it despite the wind, when many flights were cancelled. We had a memorable four-night stay, and would highly recommend it. The cave hotel was stunning and clean, and the few heaters kept us warm and comfortable. It's right in the heart of Goreme, just steps from restaurants. Our favourites were the Malaysian Restaurant and Old Cappadoccia Restaurant. Tahir, Ismail, and the women who prepared breakfast were friendly and helpful, with excellent service and quick advice for getting around. We asked about a private trip to Erciyes Ski Resort with someone they trusted, and they recommended a personal friend. We appreciated that and felt very safe. The snowy drive up was handled carefully and efficiently by Baresh. Love from us on sunny island Singapore.
The breakfast was delicious and generous, and worth every penny. I wasn't a guest at Chelebi Cave House, but I booked their early-morning breakfast package to watch the balloons. From the terrace, seeing hundreds of them slowly lift into the sunrise was so surreal and overwhelming, like being in a dream. I couldn't hold back my tears. The owner was so warm and helpful, and made me feel welcome even though I wasn't staying there. You can feel the care and sincerity in what they do. I'll definitely come back and stay at the hotel!
