The terrace was a highlight, with a clear view of the balloons in the morning. Breakfast was included, the rooms looked nice, and the beds were comfortable. Leila at reception was lovely and helpful, sharing suggestions and chatting with me while I waited for my shuttle. I only took a point off for the bathroom smell when I arrived. I left the fan on during the day and the door open, and that seemed to clear it. I visited in March, so maybe the winter sewer system was the cause rather than the hotel. It was minor to me.

Leyla really made the stay memorable. She was warm, kind, and so helpful, offering advice and arranging tours for us. We also had a lovely, spacious family room, and the hotel is in a great location.

We arrived exhausted at 11pm after traveling from different parts of the world for a reunion of four childhood friends. We had booked the family suite weeks earlier and had a confirmation, but were told there was no booking. After some calls, a very confused receptionist said the room had been given to someone else only a few hours before. The person he spoke to never came out to talk with us or even offer compensation. We had no choice but to take two different rooms, splitting us 3 and 1, and neither was what we had booked. This deserves zero stars.

The family room had a queen bed and three twin beds, plus a bathroom with a big walk-in shower and heated towel rack. We also loved the breakfast, with freshly made omelets, yogurt desserts, olives, couscous, different cheeses, and chocolate croissants. Elysee Cave House hotel is pretty, with spacious rooms. The courtyard roses smell lovely, and upstairs there's a sunroom patio with a beautiful view across the mountains and the town below. Great place to stay!
