Grand World Hotel

We've been here four times now and absolutely love the place. The hotel is spotless, the mountain views all around are stunning, and the staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help. The entertainment team are fantastic too. For a cheap holiday, it's a great choice.

We had such a brilliant stay that I wanted to write a review, even though I don't usually. This was in July 2025, and we'd happily come back. The hotel has a lovely family feel, with guests from lots of countries made to feel welcome. The entertainment was a real highlight: pool gym, darts and games during the day, then a kids' mini disco followed by a show or karaoke on evenings except Sundays. Gadget and Gizmo kept people laughing, stayed cheerful and made sure guests felt included. Food was fresh and hot, with plenty to choose from each day. They made omelettes and fried eggs to order in the morning, and grilled meats and burgers fresh on most evenings. There was always a good choice of salads and desserts, and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks had a wide selection, and the bar staff worked hard to keep queues moving. Servet was always smiling and took time to chat with my daughters and make them laugh. Our room was very clean. The maids did a fantastic job, making the beds and leaving fresh towels every day. We also appreciated finding a litre of bottled water in the fridge after a late flight in the hot weather. A couple of things were frustrating. The pool felt small for the number of guests, and by 7am the sunbeds were all taken. I even set an alarm, which I never normally do on holiday. Some people left towels on beds all day without using them. Reception was mixed: some staff were helpful, but one younger member wasn't very friendly or helpful. I also wish ice cream had been served in the afternoon, when it's hot, instead of after dinner. There are bars and shops down the hill. Hisaronu is about a 45-minute walk or a short dolmus ride away, and its market is on Mondays. We went to Fethiye by dolmus too. It's too far to walk, but a short ride and worth it. Its market is huge compared with Hisaronu's.

My daughter and I spent two weeks at this beautiful hotel, and everyone working there was amazing, from the bar and restaurant staff to the pool guys and entertainment team. The room maids deserve a special mention, especially ours. She was such a kind, friendly soul, nothing was too much trouble, and the room was immaculate after she'd been in. She left lovely towel sculptures on our beds too. My daughter wanted to adopt her! 🤣

The breakfast chef who makes the pancakes is lovely, and the rooms are basic but clean, so I can't fault them for that. The rest has been a very disappointing stay. Most staff haven't been friendly or especially helpful. This is described as a small, family-run hotel, but it's quite large and the amenities don't cope with the number of people. The pool is too small, and if you want a sunbed, be ready to get up by 6:30 at the latest. I've never seen sunbed wars this bad at a hotel. The food setup doesn't work either. You have to walk around a very small island to get food, and it's too small for the rush of people. The reviews praise Gizmo and Gadget, the entertainment team, but I don't know what to say. The entertainment is very poor and VERY repetitive. Ice cream is included, but only available at 8pm. We knew the hotel was away from the main places, but were told you could walk to Hisaranou. You can't. My advice is not to come here, or to visit in low season.
