Green Anatolia Club & Hotel

The main drawback is the distance from the beach, about a 10-minute taxi ride. The hotel itself is great, especially for families looking for a "halal holiday". The food and service are very good, the rooms are standard, and the pool is adequate.

The three pools are spread around the grounds, including a quiet one for adults and another for families, so it was easy to find a spot to unwind. There’s also tennis and table tennis, with mountains all around. The town is about a 15-minute walk away or a short taxi ride. I travelled with my two children, and they had a lovely time. Staff were helpful with booking day trips and sorting out room cleaning or fresh towels, and they were always good-humoured. The mini gym was free to use, and massages were easy to book on the day. Every couple of days there was an event, including a brilliant Turkish night with food and traditional and modern dancing. Meals were consistently good. The barbecue meat, chicken and fish were cooked fresh daily. Breakfast included continental choices, fresh bread, fruit and juices, and the chef would make eggs to order or hot pancakes. It was my first trip to Turkey, and Green Anatolia felt welcoming for children, couples and solo travellers alike. Soner, the Restaurant Manager, deserves special recognition for all his hard work and his great sense of humour.

The food was the highlight for me. There’s a salad and fruit bar, freshly baked bread and pide, and a dessert selection that changes each day, from baklava and mousse to eclairs and Swiss roll. Ice cream is served too. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are buffet-style, with a barbecue most evenings and sometimes at lunch. On special days they grill a whole tuna, even hanging it up for guests to see, and you can eat as much as you like. Service was amazing. The pool area includes a women-only pool tucked away from view as well as a mixed pool, and there’s a tennis court behind the hotel.
