Hotel Karbelsun

This was our second stay, and we’ve had another fantastic time. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the food is amazing. The pool is refreshing on a hot day, though it can get quite busy. The hotel sits at the top of the strip, far enough away to be reasonably quiet at night while still close to the shops, bars, and restaurants. It’s only a five-minute walk to the beach, where you can watch the sun go down from a beach bar or one of the many restaurants along the front.

The pool and gardens are lovely, and we enjoyed watching the bats come out at dusk. The hotel is right on the main strip, so it’s easy to get anywhere. Staff were excellent, and I loved the chefs making omelettes each morning. Our room was a little basic, but fairly big, with a fabulous drencher shower and endless hot water. The place is a bit big and impersonal, though. The restaurant was expensive, so we didn’t try dinner. I would have liked to, but there are plenty of cheaper places serving less English food. I’d stay again.

I ate at the restaurant once and found the food delicious and well priced. I can’t comment on breakfast because I ate out every day. The location is perfect, right at the top of the oludeniz strip, with a taxi rank and pharmacy just across the road. I don’t spend much time in a hotel on holiday, and this one gives me exactly what I need.

We had a lovely time here. The mattress was so hard that I didn’t sleep much, and the glass bathroom door just seemed weird. Those are my only two complaints. The staff were nice, the amenities were good, and it’s close to everything.
