ORKA Village Apartments

We had two older teenagers and a ten-year-old with us, and the villa was in a fantastic spot for a young family. Guests can use all the Orka hotel facilities during their stay. The pool is excellent, there’s a bar and snacks right beside it, maid service, and everything was very clean. The place was fully equipped, so we only needed clothes and beach towels. Grocery and takeaway deliveries were available too. One thing to know: getting a poolside lounger could take some effort. Most guests were English, and fathers were out putting towels on loungers by 7am. Some families then left those loungers covered all day without using them. We visited Fethiye, and spent a day and two nights at Oludeniz Beach. We also took a Dolmus to the top of Babadag mountain for the stunning views. Pickup was by the bus stop next to the Chemist. The ride along the mountain tracks is a real adrenaline rush, so it’s not for the faint-hearted. Saklikent Gorge was beautiful too, though watch out for the tricky guides. We also spent an afternoon and evening at the hotel. Hisaronu is the one part that didn’t suit us as well. It’s geared toward nightlife, with lots of neon-lit clubs and bars, which was challenging with teenagers in our group. Dining there caters to British customers. This is just my view, and others may feel differently. Orka Park isn’t in the middle of town, though. It’s a fifteen-minute walk to the clubs and bars, and you can’t hear them at night. Oludeniz beach is a short taxi or Dolmus ride away and feels like a different world, with beautiful sunset views and excellent restaurants and bars.
