Pegasus Hotel & Villa

This little hotel isn’t the Ritz, but the prices and the people are fantastic, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. We’ve stayed in plenty of very good hotels in the UK, and this one still has a genuine feeling of care. The rooms are reasonable, the food is basic but good, and the local town is nearby, though the resort is hilly. Its strengths are the service, the good price, especially in sterling, and the fact it isn’t full of noisy Brits drinking too much. It’s our second stay at the Pegasus, and the value and warm family feel brought us back. The family team and excellent staff make for a quiet, relaxed stay among like-minded guests. The people running it truly care about your visit and work to make sure you have a good time because they want to, not because they have to. Friends first recommended it to us, and clearly lots of guests return many times and know the staff by name. Some have been coming back for decades. The same staff were there when we returned after two years, and you can see that the owner looks after them too. We’ll come back again.

We booked the villa through jet2 villas, and we couldn’t find a single fault. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we didn’t want our stay to end. We stayed in Pegasus Evi, one of their villas just around the corner, rather than in the hotel. The manager/owner welcomed us warmly and was very helpful. There was a fridge with various food items and a tray of treats on the dining table, a lovely touch. The villa is huge, with an open-plan lounge and kitchen, marble stairs, a relaxing area on the landing, large bright windows, and air conditioning throughout. It has three bedrooms, one with an en suite, two with double beds and one with two singles. There’s also an upstairs bathroom with a shower and a downstairs toilet. All the bedrooms have balcony doors, two have lovely views, and outside there’s a large patio, private pool and garden. To get a taxi, press the button on the lamp post to the left as you leave the drive, then wait to be picked up there. We recommend visiting hisaronu, Old deniz and fethiye, all three are great by day or at night. If you’re going to the Blue lagoon in Olu Deniz, search 'paradise beach bar & restaurant' on Facebook and message them your location to request a free transfer. We had an amazing time there, it really is paradise. Pictures added below. Stock up on cat food, there are lots of lovely pet cats around.

It’s about a 10 minute shuttle ride to the beach and its beautiful blue lagoon, and the local strip is close enough to walk, with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. We’d definitely stay again. This lovely family-run hotel was great. The family and staff were so friendly and willing to help with anything. Our room was very clean and tidied every day, and the swimming pool was kept spotless too.

I want to thank Ali and his staff for being so kind and helpful to me and my family. Ali even drove us around while he was busy dealing with building works.
