My stay at Mavi Patika Bungalove in July 2025 was stressful from start to finish. The room I was given was much smaller than the one I booked and wasn’t suitable for my family of four. When I raised it, staff called it a “honeymoon suite” and said it was more expensive, which didn’t match the space we got. I was also charged twice: once for my confirmed booking, and again without my consent for a separate booking my friend had made through their own Booking.com account. The hotel said they charged my card because my friend’s card didn’t go through. I had no responsibility for that payment, and this use of my card was completely unauthorized. The staff didn’t handle my concerns professionally. They became aggressive and threatening, called me “rude” for asking about the extra charge and smaller room, then prepared a handwritten “contract termination” letter and threatened to kick us out and call the police or consulate. What was meant to be a relaxing trip turned into an upsetting ordeal. I’d avoid this property. If you care about professionalism, transparency, and peace of mind on holiday, there are many beautiful, guest-friendly places in Rize. This wasn’t one of them.

The location is high up, but not too high, with the Black Sea to the left and nature ahead and to the right. Our cozy room had a jacuzzi, Android TV, a modern bathroom, and an upstairs bedroom with a balcony. Mustafa was so genuine and kind, always available to help through Google Translate since we don’t speak English, and ready to help however he could. Breakfast was filling and awesome, with the full Turkish experience. Food places are about a 5-7 minute drive away, though without a car expect a 30-minute walk. If you want quiet and seclusion, this is the place.

The owners were welcoming and kind, the views were spectacular, and everything was super clean. We had a relaxing, quiet atmosphere and a really tasty breakfast during our three-day stay. I loved the whole experience and only wished there was a kitchen, since we like cooking for our family and might have stayed longer. Thanks for a lovely visit, highly recommend!

The bungalow was clean and cozy, with a lovely view, warmth, and hot water. It’s quiet and romantic, and breakfast was so good. The owners were very friendly. After dinner, we spent time by the fire with their family, talking about culture and nature. We came away with some great memories.
