The plateau’s air and natural scenery were magnificent, and our tiny house was clean. My sister and I had such a peaceful holiday here. We also went horse riding on a safari with Professor Habip, which was a wonderful experience. Mr. Burak at reception and the rest of the staff were very attentive. We’ll definitely be back. 🌳🌺

We had an unforgettable stay, helped along by the skilled kitchen team and a breakfast that had everything. There are forest walking trails nearby, which were a lovely extra. The setting is extraordinary and peaceful, and Mr. Burak, the manager, and his team did all they could to make our holiday perfect.

The restaurant really impressed me, especially as someone from Gaziantep. The “eli böğründe” was amazing, and the salads, appetizers, and breakfast were all fantastic. Breakfast included honey and pistachio cream, fried eggs made with village eggs, sausage, and more. The fruit plate on our first day was delicious and a thoughtful touch. We loved sitting by the fireplace in the room, and the two-story bungalow worked well for our family of four, with a sink and bathroom on each floor. On snowy days, they drive guests to the houses in their own vehicles. Mr. Burak at reception was polite and helpful, and the staff were professional. We’d always wondered why we hadn’t tried this accommodation so close to home. I used to assume the service wouldn’t be good and went to Bolu or the Eastern Black Sea region for forest holidays instead of Gaziantep. The location is beautiful, the fir tree houses are extremely luxurious, and the landscaping is superb. It really feels like a natural wonder. A few things could be better. The lower floor rooms feel a bit cool, so the insulation needs attention. The toilets are cold and have a slight odor, which is more noticeable around the jacuzzi. In cold weather, roasted sweet corn and chestnuts near the restaurant entrance would be a great addition. Even with those issues, I think this is the best holiday spot in the region for families or friends. If you're a family of four, I don’t think you need to do much barbecuing. In January 2026, we paid 2100 TL for a meal of “eli böğründe” for four people, including ayran.

This time I decided to stay at Başkonuş after having visited for a day trip before. I stayed in Ardıç, where the room was very clean and warm, and breakfast was delicious. The natural beauty there is captivating, a wonderful spot for anyone who loves nature.

It’s 2026, and this is a place surrounded by nature, yet pets aren’t allowed. Why? It’s already so expensive. What’s the point of having a pet if places won’t welcome them? I’m fed up with all this fuss and pretense from the service industry.
