Grand Ayzek Hotel

We bought tickets for Ordufest on November 22nd, but my brother wasn’t allowed in. The situation escalated to them walking in on him, and they even called the police. Shame on you, female security guard. My brother is a disturbed individual, and we will never forgive what happened to us. May God make up for all the trouble we went through tonight. Shame on you.

We spent three nights here with my university professors and friends, and the young staff were the one good part of the stay. The place made us hate Ordu, and I’ll never book it again. The Turkish bath was flooded and smelled awful, and there was just one power outlet in our three-person room. Cleanliness was a real problem. At breakfast, only the packaged food was decent; everything else was cold and tasted bad, even if the spread looked nice. The receptionist was very rude. When we cancelled a taxi that had been delayed for minutes, she said, “I won’t call a taxi for you again.” On our last day, we asked for an airport taxi and were told their partner taxis were full and would take 45 minutes. We called the taxi stand they’d recommended on a card, and a car arrived in three minutes. Make of that what you will 😉😉😉

At the Block 3 concert on December 11th, people were smoking everywhere despite the “no smoking” signs. We were suffocating inside, and no one came to tell them to stop. I have asthma, so I couldn’t stay for the concert.

We’d heard endless praise for this hotel from acquaintances who live here, but after staying there, we wouldn’t recommend it or go back. The pool was another frustration: after checkout, we weren’t allowed to use it unless we paid extra. That felt completely unacceptable and had nothing to do with customer satisfaction. The rooms were supposedly cleaned, but they were still dirty. Hygiene was zero. Breakfast was bland and mediocre, and even the colors looked unappealing.
