Club Mel Holiday Resort

We arrived at Club Mel Resort in the early hours of August 2, 2025, after booking through On the Beach.com. The room bore no resemblance to the pictures on Google, TripAdvisor, or On the Beach. Plug sockets were coming away from the walls, the fuse box was exposed, the toilet was loose, the shower was dirty, and there were patches of bare cement on the walls. The next morning, there were no free sunbeds by the pool. When I asked the young man at the bar for one, he laughed and pointed to a broken, hazardous bed, saying there was “just one.” His arrogant response made us feel unwelcome and as if we meant nothing, with the floor seeming like our only option for sunbathing. We decided we couldn’t stay. When we told the manager we were leaving, he first complained, “This is last minute” and “How am I supposed to sell a room in this time?” It seemed he cared more about the money than our safety. We checked out straight away and moved to a safer, cleaner hotel, which kindly arranged a taxi. On the Beach told us we’d get only £142.65 back, “at the manager’s discretion.” After working out the room cost, it came to around £47 a day, even though we’d been in the room just a few hours. I find that disgraceful. I’ve uploaded photos and a video, and urge anyone considering Club Mel Resort to look at them. If you want a good holiday in Dalyan, I’d avoid this place completely. I’m also seeking a refund through my bank and making a formal complaint to on the beach so others aren’t treated this way.

I’d tell anyone planning a holiday in Dalyan to stay away from Club Mel Resort. The online pictures look polished, but what I found was dirty, unsafe, and unfinished. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet felt unstable, the shower was revolting, and the walls had rough, unfinished cement. It felt like sleeping in a construction site, not a resort. Even the room key looked careless: a cheap metal key tied to a scrap of wood with “33” written in Sharpie. That didn’t feel charming or rustic, just insecure and unprofessional. The owner’s response to concerns about the conditions was what upset me most. He seemed more concerned about his wallet and the inconvenience of complaints than guests’ safety or comfort. He has argued defensively with negative reviews online, then deleted his replies when he couldn’t justify them. To me, that suggests he knows what he’s running: an unsafe scam presented as a resort. This is an unsanitary place run by someone who puts profit ahead of people, and I believe it puts holidaymakers at risk without remorse. Dalyan has plenty of clean, reputable, welcoming hotels that deserve your business. Don’t spend your money here or put your holiday at risk.

The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and the service is friendly. Since the new management took over, Club Mel has been improving day by day. They’ve done a lot of renovations with distinctive styling, and the cleaning is very good. It’s a lovely place to stay.

The grounds are spacious, lovely, and peaceful, and our room was clean and nice. The host was exceptionally welcoming and ready to help with any questions. We stayed for a few days, and the food was fresh and tasty.
