The pool was so tempting that we jumped in as soon as we arrived, even though it was late. Then we checked out our tidy, well-presented bedroom and the spectacular balcony view, with the pool right in front and the bar in sight. We had a brilliant holiday at hotel calbis and don't think we could have found a better place. The bar closes around 10:30pm, so we could get fresh drinks, play cards, and then head to bed. We slept comfortably every night without anything disturbing us. Breakfast is served near the bar at 8am, with fresh fruit, pancakes, cereal, and lots more. Find sunbeds after breakfast, as it can get busy. There are four pools, though the main one was my favorite. The bar also serves a wide choice of tasty lunch food. If you'd like something else, there are two supermarkets near the hotel. The cleaners did a perfect job while we were out, and we came back to towels folded into swans or people, which was much appreciated. If you ask the barman for a beer glass to keep, he won't say no. We went out to explore one evening and chose a relaxing restaurant by the river of dalyan. The food was marvelous every night we ate outside the hotel. Some days there were markets with all sorts of things, mostly football shirts. For more activities and a bit of downtime, there are boat trips to different places, including crabbing and mud baths if you're interested. Another trip is called jeep suffari, where you get soaked with cold water and water guns, then have a chance to eat lunch and visit a really cold waterfall. We stayed for two weeks, and it was the best holiday we've ever had. Written by Harvey (age 10)

The food was tasty, and the restaurant was great, with affordable meals. Breakfast had lots of choices, which changed daily. We had a great experience in Turkey at Holiday Calbis. The grounds are beautifully kept, the pools are clean, and the rooms are spacious. The air conditioning worked really well. Staff were friendly and always ready to help.

It's a lovely, clean hotel in a great spot, just a short walk from Dalyan town. The rooms are tidy, and there are nice pools with plenty of sunbeds. There isn't much storage in the room, only shelves and an open wardrobe, no drawers. The bathroom has nowhere to put your shower things except on top of the shower. Breakfast is outdoors, and although there are lots of fly fans, they don't keep the wasps away. Choices are limited. The omelette and pancakes were the only good bits for me.

My parents have been coming here for years, so I wanted to see what they liked about it. The location by the lakes and river is great, on a street that takes you to the town center. It's just far enough out for some peace, and there's no entertainment at the hotel, which suits that quiet atmosphere. Our room was a good size. It could have used a TV, but that didn't spoil the holiday. The food was decent, though they need to sort out the breakfast juice. The staff are great, and the owners are a family. I'd come again.

It's a tranquil hotel with lovely grounds, and the rooms are always clean. Everyone on staff is polite and friendly. The Calbis have three amazing, hardworking people who are worth their weight in gold: Ruzaliia and Nizamettin at the bar, and Ebru at reception. Those three are the glue holding the hotel together. Thank you for a lovely vacation.
