Smyrna Hotel

Mustafa, the owner, and the staff were friendly, and breakfast was generous even in low season. My room was clean and looked well cared for, and the AC worked fine. I’ll definitely come back.

We were in room 204 and had a really nice stay. The room was nicely decorated, with a good shower, lots of hot water, a new hairdryer, working air con, a small fridge, plenty of mirrors including a full-length one, and lots of plug sockets. The double glazing kept the music from the retro bar outside from reaching us, even on nights with fab live music. The hotel’s right by the centre of Dalyan, and the staff were lovely and always happy to help. Breakfast was a plentiful Turkish spread. Rooms aren’t cleaned every day, so just ask at reception if you want yours serviced. It’s a gem, don’t believe the negative reviews.

The shower and air-conditioning were both good, and it’s in the quieter end of Dalyan, close to the boats and about a ten-minute walk from the strip. Our triple room was modern, spacious, clean, and had really comfortable beds. The staff were all lovely and friendly. Special shout-out to Ebru, my new Turkish sister, whose Turkish breakfast was amazing. The hotel’s retro bar was great too, with music all night and brilliant service from Mustafa. We’ll definitely be back. We left feeling like family ❤

There are plenty of good restaurants, cafes, and bars around, since the hotel is in the main town area. It’s just around the corner from the riverfront, where you can catch boats to the mud baths, turtle sanctuary, and markets. A great spot, and the hotel is inexpensive, clean, and comfortable. Nusret and Murat were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to help.
