Carna Cave Hotel

The bar has a view that beats the other cave hotels I’ve seen, and in the morning you can watch a hot air balloon fly over the hotel. It was my first time in Ortahisar, and the whole stay felt like a real Turkish experience without the hassle. The rooms have an authentic feel, and the service covered everything I needed, often at a moment’s notice. A real hidden gem.

We had a lovely time here. Osman was very kind and arranged a taxi for us. From the rooftop bar, you get a great sunset view over the town and castle, and the village is especially pretty once its lights come on, around 19:30.

That magnificent, fascinating view was wonderful. And Kudret, I won’t forget your kind smile, sweet way of speaking, and sincere warmth.

We wanted to enjoy our last night here, but the service was terrible from the moment we arrived. They offered us an outside table and then never set it up. No menu was shown, but they still expected us to order something to sit down. There were three of us, yet we had to use a table for two and nobody offered another chair. They didn’t apologize or acknowledge any of it. We won’t be coming back.
