Dilek Kaya Hotel - Special Class

The staff were friendly and the Wi-Fi worked well, but that was about all I liked. This is a worn-down, badly maintained hotel aimed at large tour groups on a budget. Our room felt like a cell, was very noisy, and had no sound insulation from outside. The bathroom smelled awful and had damp spots. The AC was noisy and nowhere near powerful enough. It was already hot in September, and I imagine the room would be too hot in summer. The buffet was like feeding time at the zoo, with crowds from big tour groups jostling to fill their plates in a huge area. The food was average at best. Our tour company booked us for two nights, which was two nights too many. Avoid it if you can. I agree with another reviewer that the positive reviews could not possibly be genuine.

For travelers to Cappadocia, this hotel offers a grand, traditional feel, lovely views, and extensive spa facilities. It’s an excellent choice.

We found bedbugs in one of the rooms. The hotel offered us another room, but there was no sign that the affected one had been properly quarantined or professionally fumigated. The staff seemed inexperienced and didn’t fully understand how to deal with the situation.

We had a good stay, with friendly staff, great food service, and plenty of food and drink choices. On the first night we were served, then the rest of our visit was buffet style, help yourself. The hotel was very clean, close to town, and there were lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. I was visiting with my family. The outdoor pool was good, though quite cold at first, but you get used to it. There’s a small pool for kids too. Some of the outdoor furniture needs replacing. The indoor pool and sauna were closed for refurbishment during our visit. With the weather and two youngsters with us, it would have been nice to know that beforehand. The hotel has ramped areas for buggies and wheelchairs, as well as ground floor rooms with easy access to the restaurant and pool area.
