A lovely spot, particularly if you’re travelling with family.

The rooms were awful. There seems to have been no maintenance since the 1970s, and they smelled terrible. Insects were everywhere, including what looked like little bugs coming out of the furniture and flying around the beds. With prices this high, the hotel should be providing a much higher standard of service. Prices were as steep as eating on Bağdat Street or by the Bosphorus in Istanbul, but the portions and taste didn’t come close. The meatball serving was only 3 pieces, and four slices of watermelon cost 400 TL when a kilo was 5-6 TL. A bowl of yogurt was 200 TL. Those prices are unbelievable, and charging that kind of money feels like robbery. You need to earn the right to charge that much. They also aren’t open to discussion or criticism. They say they’ve been in the business since the 1970s, but what matters is being willing to listen and treating people decently. I wouldn’t trust the positive reviews here; some seem self-serving. I’d put more faith in local guides and people who write accurate reviews. After all that, it’s astonishing that their response only addressed the meatballs. They can see how many were served, but that’s the least important issue. The real problems are cleanliness, the rooms, the ridiculous prices, and bills that were already paid being presented as unpaid. The claim that people are attacking them from different accounts is pretty funny. These aren’t attacks, they’re genuine reviews from guests who stayed there, and apparently the hotel can’t handle hearing them.

I found this hotel in Ortakent to be very good value. It’s close to just about everything you’d want to visit in Bodrum, and the sea right by the hotel is clean and clear, with a lovely beach. The meals and breakfast were delicious too. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Bodrum.

This has a lovely summer-house feel, and it’s stayed good over the years. It’s an easy place to come with your partner and children, with friendly staff looking after guests. I’m especially attentive to animal welfare because I have a four-legged daughter, and the owners and staff are very caring toward animals. They never forget them. And their potato gözleme is my favorite :)

For peace and quiet in Ortakent, I’d happily recommend this hotel. The owners are friendly, the staff make you feel welcome, and the sea and atmosphere are magnificent. Breakfast and dinner are included, and the prices are reasonable. It’s where I’ve been happiest staying in Ortakent.
