Eros Hotel

The room seemed decent enough for a two-night stop, and at first glance the clean bed and towels looked fine. We’d booked just 2-3 hours before arriving, around 21:00, and were glad to find somewhere affordable in a good spot within walking distance of the travertines. We were tired and hurrying to find an open restaurant, so we didn’t check the bathroom at first. Once we’d settled in, we found hair and makeup stains in the sink, and the toilet seat was not good. The sink photo was after I washed my hands and removed some hair. We were disappointed and figured we’d clean it ourselves, but couldn’t find sanitising wipes in Pamukkale that late. When we got back after a good meal, I explained it to the receptionist. He offered us a bottle of Domestos that was almost empty. Somehow it was enough to freshen up the bathroom, thank all gods for that. We also found the refrigerator was dead. The nice guy at reception made a call and swapped it for one that worked. That was a relief, since we’d thought nothing else could go wrong. The room was basic, but cleanliness is definitely not a word I’d use for what we found at Eros Hotel. We hadn’t read all the reviews, but were surprised given some praised the cleanliness here. I’m fine with basic, since I only use a room to sleep, but the hotel is not in great condition. The pool people praise was empty, old, and dirty. After a week in Turkey on a budget, though, that was the benchmark level. There weren’t even hooks for our things, or anywhere in the room or bathroom to hang a towel. The location is great, and that’s the only thing that makes this place good value for money.

Shops and the travertines are an easy walk away. My room was on the small side, but it was clean and comfortable, and the staff were wonderful about helping guests with anything they needed. I’d happily recommend staying here.

Nothing fancy, but it’s a good, clean, comfortable room with decent space. The price is fair and the location works well. A solid choice for a night or two while you’re nearby.

There’s a terrace with a superb morning view of the balloons, and the owner is really helpful. Great value for the money.
