The hotel is in a quiet, peaceful area, close to the famous red stone, salt terraces in Pamukkale and about 1.5 h from Denizli Kayak Merkezi. We spent four pleasant days here during winter break. Our room was small but worked for our family of four. The furniture was a little worn, though clean and in good condition. I’d expected worse from the reviews, and we had no trouble with extra charges for water or tea. Everyone could find something they liked to eat, and the hotel had daily activities for children and adults. Every staff member we met was kind and helpful. The indoor pool can feel small and crowded in winter, but the hot spring pools and Turkish sauna were free to use. Billiardo and table tennis were free too. We’ve stayed at many hotels in Turkey, and the 5-star rating here doesn’t match European 5-star standards, which may explain why some guests expect more. I think the price and quality are a great match, and we plan to return next year :)

It’s a quiet place a few Km. from the centre, with lovely gardens, a nicely designed lobby, and staff nearby whenever you need help. We could easily have stayed for a few weeks, and breakfast was good. The dinner seating system was confusing. They give you a table number, but there are no signs showing where each number is. The restaurant is very large, and the emergency exit signs aren’t well marked. The same goes for the room corridors. It’s only 2 floor, but I think those signs matter.

Dinner was the highlight of our stay. The buffet had a huge, delicious range of starters, main dishes cooked just right, and desserts and fresh fruit that tasted fabulous. It was beautifully presented too. We were only there for one night on a round trip, but the stay became a highlight of the whole journey. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well laid out, a peaceful place to rest after a long travel day. We didn’t have time to try the spa or thermal baths, though the hotel’s relaxing atmosphere and their reputation make us want to return for longer. There were a lot of guests, shower water flooded the bathroom, and although breakfast had a big bread selection, it all seemed to be from the day before, with no fresh bread. Highly recommended.

I was very disappointed by my stay at Colossae Thermal & Spa Hotel. It didn’t feel like a 5-star experience, and I can’t recommend it. The food was mediocre at best, and charging for basic things like coffee and water at a “luxury” hotel felt ridiculous. Staff were also unhelpful when problems came up and offered no solutions. The woman at the restaurant entrance was especially rude, practically shouting at guests. I’ve never seen that kind of hostility at a hotel. It also didn’t feel family-friendly, and children definitely didn’t seem welcome.

I was very disappointed. For a hotel presenting itself as 5-star, the stay felt far from luxurious, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine 5-star experience. The biggest surprise was having to pay an exorbitant price for basic drinking water. Several other small but irritating charges came up during the stay too. Being nickel-and-dimed for necessities ruined the experience, and the value for money was practically nonexistent.
