Melek Apart Pansi̇yon

We enjoyed the swimming pool after long days exploring the sights. The hotel is six minutes from the center of Karahayit, in its own community, with good local prices rather than tourist prices and good restaurants. I especially liked the chicken restaurant near the center. Pamakkule is close by for visiting the sights. Getting there from Denzili: a taxi is around 200 TRY one way. There’s also a domus, or minivan, to Karahayit. Ask where it leaves from, usually downstairs in the main terminal, and show the driver the hotel address. It costs 16 TRY and drops you at the hotel. To return to the Denzili bus terminal (otogare), it passes right in front of the hotel for the same 16 TRY. Wave it down or ask reception to help.

We paid 1500 TL for one night at this reasonably priced guesthouse. Our room had a double bed, a small pool, and a TV that worked. It’s affordable, but keep your expectations modest. You get what you pay for.

This is a family-run aparthotel in a quiet, peaceful spot. The rooms are spotless, and it’s within walking distance of the market, markets, Red Water, and the mosque. Denizli minibuses pass right outside. May Allah be pleased with our sister Emel and her husband, the owners, for their care and attention.

Bring your own cleaning supplies, including toilet paper, and come prepared. Sheets are provided, but towels aren’t. There are no kitchen utensils, and using the gas cylinder in the kitchen costs extra. It’s a family apartment.
