We went to the travel house attached to this place and found it in terrible shape: the power was out, and inside it was dark and filthy. When we told the receptionist, they said the cleaners charge too much. The house won an award for best renovation 20 years ago, but its condition now is deplorable. I would never recommend it.

I travel around the country for work and have never come across a place this terrible. It's awful, and anyone who decides to stay there will regret it. Don't choose this place.

The guesthouse is beautifully built and the rooms have plenty of history, but there are real problems. The carpets are dusty, the shower water doesn't get hot, and the room doors don't lock. The dust on the TV looks about five years old, I'm not exaggerating. You're not ready for the season and say you'll fix things once you start making money, but that's not our fault. I paid for a service and expect to receive it. The owner seems well-intentioned, no issue there, but please stop saying the POS machine is broken. That's unacceptable. I shouldn't have to carry cash in my account. I gave two stars instead of zero because of your good intentions.

It's a 400-year-old mansion, and I didn't expect a lot, but it still fell short. The room door wouldn't shut, the water heater leaked, there was no toilet paper, the TV didn't work, and the window was broken, so that was the natural air conditioning. With just one outlet, the room was really only suitable for sleeping and using the toilet. When people upstairs moved around, it felt like an earthquake. I don't recommend it.
