Hakim Bey Boutique Hotel

There’s a closed parking lot close by, costing 250 tl for a night. Breakfast looked like the pictures. Most rooms face the courtyard, where loud music plays from 20.00 to 23.00. You can still hear it from the rooms outside the courtyard too.

We left in a hurry after a really bad stay. Breakfast was included in our booking, but we didn’t get any, so we had to carry on with our program hungry. When we raised this with the manager, they argued instead of helping. We’d been made to stay here because of a tour. The rooms were small and dusty. At the evening gathering, our group was seated separately, and we had to keep asking about the menu and be reminded of what was on it. The food and dessert came late, tasted bad, and arrived incomplete.

The hotel is within walking distance of Şanlıurfa’s historical sites, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good too, especially thanks to the twin brothers Abdullah and Aziz, who work there. They’re warm and friendly, and their smiles bring a lot to the place. There was air conditioning in the room, and the damp smell went away after the first day. At first, though, I regretted booking it and thought about canceling to go somewhere else, like Jolly. The room smelled terribly damp, and the sheets and duvet were wet from it. Fortunately, they gave us another duvet to sleep with. The bathroom was very small. We stayed for three days because Şanlıurfa was packed with tourists then. Problems can happen, but acting quickly to sort them out would benefit the hotel.

When our group arrived on May 26, 2026, we were welcomed with drums and such friendly staff that we felt at home straight away. The food and its presentation were impeccable, and even with a large group it felt like each of us had a waiter. The music fit the atmosphere perfectly. My group and I are grateful for everything 🙏🏻
