Iceberg Otel

The six days we spent at the Iceberg Hotel were a delight. Serkant and the staff looked after our three Australian families with real warmth and charm, and the food was excellent. We ate every meal there, including lunch, since it was close enough to the piste to ski back for a quick break. Sarikamis itself won us over too: great snow at a ski resort with no queues. Thanks for having us, Team Iceberg.

The room at Iceberg was clean, warm, and nicely decorated, and I really enjoyed the traditional food, Turkish tea, and spa. The staff were welcoming and helpful, with a few people able to speak English. Serkan was especially great with service and answered all my questions. You can rent quality ski and snowboarding gear in the ski room, and the airport shuttle is handy too. Thanks again, I'll stay at Iceberg if I return to Sarıkamiş for a winter holiday.

The staff made the stay feel especially welcoming. When I forgot my ski pass and was already walking toward the lift, the guest relations manager ran after me with it before I even noticed it was missing. Fatma at reception was always smiling, and every request got a quick, thoughtful response. Yusuf and Mehmet also gave us excellent service in the restaurant, where the food was simple, fresh, and really tasty. We stayed on the attic floor, in a spacious room decorated with wood and marble that felt like home. The hotel is just 300 m from the lifts, and the sauna, hammam, and massage were all quite decent. A couple of things could be better: the elevator needs better servicing, and a fitness room would be a must for stretching and strengthening at a ski hotel.

We spent five days at Iceberg and had a great time, even though we didn't ski. Murat and the staff made us feel very welcome. The shared area was cozy, the entertainment program was fab, and the spa was super relaxing. The buffet had loads of freshly made choices, all delicious, with something for everyone, including vegetarians. Can only recommend Iceberg Otel!
