Basilica Therma Hotel

We drove 1000km to this newly opened hotel in Sarıkaya after agreeing on a rate by phone and giving the number and ages of our guests, including two children over 6. At reception, an unprofessional and untrustworthy agent asked us for 2000 more for the rooms and an extra mattress, not a bed, for the kids. We left and found a much fairer, more convenient place nearby. I’d warn visitors to avoid hotels that take advantage of the limited accommodation in the area by raising rates after an agreement. We’ll never go back.

I love this place!!!

We were told breakfast would be available, but when we went down in the morning, the receptionist was busy trying to sort something out and we left without eating. We needed a one-day stay for work. The hotel and rooms were new and clean, but there was no heating in the rooms during winter. We told reception, and they said they’d send a heater, but none arrived.

The hot water was especially beneficial, and I found the thermal pools and spa really relaxing. I stayed at Basilica Therma Hotel & Spa for a day or two and was generally pleased.
