The rooms were a great price, and we really enjoyed staying here. The family was very friendly.

I booked a 20m2 studio on Otelz.com for about 1700 TL, expecting the room shown in the listing. What we got was a basement converted into a hotel room, and there was no mention of that on the site. The outside of the building looks great, but the basement was incredibly bad. I can’t say what the upstairs floors are like, maybe they’re better. We left our things there, went swimming and exploring, then came back after midnight. The bedspread didn’t look clean, and underneath it almost half of the white sheet on the mattress protector was bright yellow, possibly from previous occupants urinating on it. The sheet also had holes and was in no state to use, even if it had been washed. Luckily we had spare bed linens in the car, or we wouldn’t have been able to sleep. The towels were heavily stained too and need replacing, since washing probably wouldn’t get those marks out. There were cobwebs in the corners, and I killed one. The room was cramped, with two old single beds pushed together that sagged in the middle, plus a pull-out bed for three people. There was a TV, which we didn’t switch on, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, a small kitchenette with a few appliances, a kettle and a sink. We didn’t use any of it because everything looked dirty. The taps looked rusty and grimy, and their fittings were loose and wobbly, making them hard to turn. There was no shampoo or anything else in the bathroom. Someone had made similar comments before us, but I didn’t take much notice without photos. Anyone booking based on the pictures should be prepared for what we found. We only needed somewhere to sleep and shower, but I regret choosing this place. For 300-400 TL more, we could have stayed somewhere much better. The owner seems polite, but I don’t understand how he can offer guests things he wouldn’t use himself.

I can’t understand why anyone would turn a barn or storage space into a room and rent it out this way. This is more like a basement storage room than a room, so don’t arrive expecting otherwise. It’s below ground level by two steps, with a low ceiling and a PVC door. There was even a mop, broom and dustpan in the room, which was disgusting and made no sense. The place was filthy. I’ve attached photos of the towels and sheets for anyone who can stomach them. The towels were marked with red and black stains, and the sheet had a huge yellow mark about the size of a lap, which could have been sweat or urine. We used our own towels and linens. The bathroom tiles and drain were so dirty that I couldn’t shower while looking at the floor. The hygiene here feels inhumane. Every penny I paid feels wasted, and this place should be shut down. I’ll be reporting it to the relevant authorities.

The stained sheets and awful shower were bad enough, and there were filthy brushes and mops in the room too. Strange noises from the other rooms kept us up in the middle of the night, and we could barely get out in the morning. They’ve basically made a room out of a storage space, but even then it could have been made nicer. I’ve never seen such carelessness. Don’t choose this place. If you’re providing a service, you need at least some tidiness and care. People need to wake up and come to their senses.
