İbri Boutique hotel

A lovely little treasure, with a tasteful, very special interior. The staff were warm and helpful. We absolutely recommend it.

Location was the one plus. The room was much smaller than the photos suggested and shouldn’t be advertised for four people, it barely fit two. The second bed was squeezed into an attic space that was unbearably hot and stuffy. The ladder up there blocked the bathroom door, so getting in meant squeezing underneath it. There was so little light that I had to use my phone as a flashlight to find things in my luggage. The window barely insulated against noise, and at 4 am we were woken by a stray dog barking nonstop. There also wasn’t enough hot water for everyone, so we had to tell the kids to use only 50% of the shower's capacity. The room was neatly decorated, but there were so many decorations that they took up space. We had just one tiny coffee table and one nightstand, and almost no counter space once the snack basket for sale and decorations were there. Everything had a price tag, even the water. It’s the only hotel we’ve stayed at in Turkey that charged for water. The staff were unresponsive and unprofessional. Instead of dealing with our needs, they texted me tour information to try to make a sale. Nina brought in a few towels and put them on top of my cap. We didn’t use those towels, and the cap was left behind. We tried messaging her several times two hours after checkout, but got no response. The hospitality and communication were unusually poor. It was a devastating experience.

Nina and the owner were incredible hosts and made us feel welcome. They arranged taxis to Ephesus and transfer shuttles for our flight, which arrived in the middle of the night. Nina even waited up late to check us in. My mother and I were visiting Ephesus, and loved our stay and the lovely memories we made. The hotel had a vintage feel and was very clean. Fresh, tasty breakfast each morning was the highlight.

Nina was an incredible host and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel cats were sweet and friendly. Ibri Boutique Hotel is stunning, with personal, distinctive touches throughout. It’s within walking distance of nice restaurants and a cute area. Highly recommend!
