Nea Efessos

The view is great and the facilities could be nice, but the hotel felt poorly maintained and run down. The pool looked dirty, with green stains inside and around it. We were uncomfortable enough that we'd discourage others from spending their holiday here. When we arrived, the hall smelled bad and wasn't clean. The room floor and shower were extremely dirty, the sink was clogged, and the bathroom smelled. We asked for proper cleaning or said we'd leave after our tour. The receptionist looked genuinely sorry and promised it would be done. When we got back, there was a detergent smell, but everything still looked just as dirty. I don't know what was going wrong, but it didn't feel like there was professional cleaning. It seemed they might not have had a vacuum cleaner, proper products, or hygienic procedures.

After a long day of driving and sightseeing, Mert greeted us with real warmth. He gave us a friendly welcome that was a refreshing change, and deserves recognition for the way he looks after guests. The hotel is fantastic, and I highly recommend it if you're visiting the Ephesus area.

The view stays beautiful even when it's raining, and on sunny mornings you wake to birdsong. It's the kind of quiet place where you can sit for ages just looking out the window, surrounded by lovely scenery and nature. The staff are polite and helpful. The center is a 15-20 minute walk away, or you can take a taxi if you'd rather not walk. A peaceful, serene hotel that I'd happily recommend.

We enjoyed our time at this quaint, quiet boutique hotel. Our rooms had a wonderful view of the city, and the staff were kind, friendly, and took good care of us. It's a great base for visiting Ephesus, and my family and I would gladly return to Vinifera Ephesus Hotel.
