We were meant to spend just one night at Maskot Beach because of a small problem at the hotel we'd booked weeks earlier. I can't think of a better reason for our original hotel to have made that mistake. Maskot Beach is quiet, peaceful, spotless, and family-run. Even after we moved back to our own hotel for the next few days, we couldn't bear to leave. Soner Abi's lovely conversation and Çağdaş's fun, sincere personality turned the stay into an unforgettable vacation and gave us two wonderful friends we'll never lose. It's a warm, family-friendly place where you can pick figs right off the tree and eat them. Whether you're there with a loved one or a young child, it can welcome you as you are. We're so glad we spent that night here, and I want to thank Soner Abi and Çağdaş again and again. Our holiday was wonderful with you. Go, see, share, and love.

A lovely little cafe in Selimiye with three rooms as well. It's right by the beach and seems like a great place for sunbathing and swimming.

The owners are helpful, and the prices seem reasonable for a beach. I found the sea less than clear, probably because of the nearby stream. It gets deep quickly, so I wouldn't say it's suitable for families with children.
