Selis Otel

The three cats by the door were the only good part. I had to write this in a cold room with no heating and just a thin, old pique cover. Worst hotel stay of my life. I definitely don’t recommend it.

The receptionists working both day and night were really kind, and that’s why I’m giving three points. The location is very good too. But I can’t say the same about the hotel itself. The bathroom and toilet are so cramped you have to squeeze in to shower, and the rooms have a strange smell, probably from people smoking. They didn’t feel clean. Aside from the polite reception staff and location, I wouldn’t choose this place.

I only booked this because the teachers’ guesthouse was full, they recommended it and said guests from there would get a discount, and it was the closest hotel. I regret staying. For the same price, I could have found much nicer places. The room was filthy, including the sheets, some torn and patched. There was nowhere to attach the showerhead, a dead fly sat in the open entrance, and the backs of the doors were dirty in a way that reminded me of sweeping dirt under a rug after cleaning the floor. Breakfast came in a bag hung on the door: a whole tomato, half a cucumber, juice, tea bags, and half a loaf of bread. I thought that was decent for this place. To me it felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel, and I won’t stay here again. I’d prefer an actual guesthouse.

The rooms were spacious, the breakfast fresh and delicious, and I had a lovely holiday. Thanks to everyone at Selis Hotel. It’s a family hotel.
