Jaff Hotels Nisantasi

The team made this hotel for me, especially abdullah, who helped us with everything we needed. It’s a comfortable place in a great spot in central istanbul, and the breakfast, gym, and spa are all really good. I’ll stay here every time I travel to istanbul.

Nisantasi is one of Istanbul’s loveliest districts, and this hotel is ideally placed for getting around, with transport, restaurants, and small markets nearby. After a long day, it’s also nice to just walk along Nisantasi’s streets. The staff are polite, friendly, and always around to help, with a lovely smile. Room service was excellent some days and just good on others, but it was fine overall. The hotel also has a free spa and gym, which is a nice feature, though I didn’t have time to use them. It’s a very nice place, and I’d be happy to come back and recommend it.

The breakfast was terrible and could make you sick. There were loads of cheese and olive choices, but everything else seemed old. Even the scrambled eggs were cold and blue. The room amenities were old too, and I had to ask for fresh towels because one towel was meant to be used for both the shower and spa. The hotel was so noisy that I slept an average of three hours each night. There was no hot water for two days, in December. The spa has one sauna that doesn’t work, and a steam room you have to beg them to open. Even then, the receptionist gets angry when you ask. The staff are the only reason for the one star. They do their best to handle complaints and keep things together, and I feel for them. They deserve to work somewhere better. This was worse than some two-star hotels I’ve stayed in, where everything was better.

The quick check-in and checkout, convenient location, spacious room, and available luggage storage were all positives. The downsides were the old mattress, whose insets caused back pain, and the small bathroom. There’s no stroller access at the entrance. Breakfast was very bad, so I wouldn’t recommend booking it with your stay.
