The location is handy, right in the city, with pretty much anything you need within walking distance. The staff were nice too. There were some issues with the room, though: the sink slanted and leaked, the shower and tiles were broken, and a few of the pillows smelled like smoke.

I’m writing this from inside Çağan Hotel in Sivas because I don’t want them to reply later and claim this review was meant for somewhere else. We checked in without revealing our identity, and the whole experience has been negative. I booked on Booking.com, but they asked whether I was a foreigner and said reservations couldn’t be made from Türkiye. What was I supposed to ask them, where to book? I’d first tried calling directly because I wanted to avoid paying commission, but they quoted 2000 lira. I found a cheaper booking, yet they charged a different amount based on the euro exchange rate. An extra 33 euros is 1750 lira, not 1829 lira. I hope the 80 lira difference was worth this one-star rating. The restaurant prices are very expensive too. I don’t recommend the place. I’m sure they’d still charge me if I asked to cancel, so I didn’t even try. I’ll leave a negative review here and elsewhere, businesses like this start off with a bad mark.
