The people were nice, and the customer service was very good.

I’m not writing this to discredit the management. Either run the place properly, or nobody can make you do it. The reception staff are generally friendly young people, but it seems their only job is to collect payment. They don’t have the resources to deal with anything else. There was no water on either of my visits. They said the fire department would come to refill it, but the power was out too, and the hotel doesn’t have even a small generator. Without electricity, you’re stuck there. Then the cleaner comes to ask if you’re checking out because your time is up, even though you haven’t been able to use the toilet or shower. Some basic things were missing or unreliable. Slippers were supposed to be brought up, but on my first stay I had to go downstairs and ask for them. The last time, I went out late at night and bought a pair at the market. Drinking water was sometimes there and sometimes forgotten. Even when it was available, you couldn’t get more than two bottles because reception didn’t know where it was. There’s no toilet brush either, and I’m sure nobody even knows about it. Try not to use the hotel toilet. The bathroom has no cabinet, so there’s nowhere to put a toothbrush except on the tiny sink that always looks like it’s about to overflow. They provide two tea bags. Would it really hurt to put out one coffee for 5 TL? The linens aren’t terribly dirty, but they could be cleaner. There’s no air conditioning, just radiators. When the electricity cuts out, it gets Siberian cold because there’s no generator. Some furniture is broken, and it could be repaired for a small amount, but that doesn’t seem to be how they think. The hotel also charges extra for Turkish bath, spa, and massage services. After seeing all this, I wouldn’t feel like going down to try them. Who knows what surprises we might find? There’s no breakfast either.

We were just passing through Sivas and booked here despite the mixed reviews. The beds and room were spotless, and the bathroom was perfect. The shower pressure was a bit low, but we had a clean, comfortable stay. Thank you.

I stayed on November 18th, and the heating just wasn’t enough for cold Sivas. I told the staff, but they didn’t seem to care. The entrance and hallways were freezing, and even the employees were walking around in coats and using foot warmers to keep warm. If you want to spend the night cold and risk getting sick, this is the place.
