Siverek Hotel

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, I rarely see hotels neglect such basic hygiene and safety measures. I don't recommend this place, and I'll notify the relevant authorities. Inspection and oversight are essential. I saw a female employee lick her fingers while arranging breakfast, then use the same cloth to wipe serving plates that she used to wipe everything else. The breakfast items were poor quality too. My room window was broken, letting in very cold air and making the room uncomfortable and potentially unhealthy. The elevator had no periodic inspection card and seemed unsafe, posing a serious risk.

Our room smelled like sewage, and the television didn't work. We checked it before settling in, and the staff confirmed it wasn't working, so why hadn't it been fixed? The tiny window was set very high, like a prison window. Maybe the tour group arriving by bus meant better rooms weren't available, and perhaps other rooms are nicer, but we paid about 5000 TL for a terrible one. The breakfast was mediocre and unhygienic, and the elevator definitely didn't seem safe. The whole building reeked of cigarette smoke, and smoking was allowed in the rooms despite the ban on smoking indoors in our country. Cleanliness and hygiene were zero. A 3-star hotel like this is an insult to other 3-star hotels and shouldn't even be listed on search engines or hotel apps.

The hotel and its rooms are very dated. Apart from one or two rooms, I don't think it's worth staying here. Hygiene was acceptable, but I personally wouldn't choose it unless I were on a tour.

The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Mr. Murat, whose care we appreciated. Our rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We came after reading the reviews and were glad we did.
