Wyndham Cerkezkoy

The one good thing is the staff, who are always helpful. The hotel itself feels very old, with unclean rooms and worn furniture. The bathroom wasn't pleasant to use, and they don't even provide a toilet brush. This doesn't come anywhere near a 5-star hotel.

The bedding was really clean and the rooms were quiet, so I slept fine. But this stay with my colleagues is one I'll remember for all the wrong reasons. Three of us got trapped in the elevator twice because it malfunctioned. The AC was outdated and broken, the shower door was broken too, and the carpet in the rooms was crunchy underfoot. The hotel has a very unusual, unsettling atmosphere. If you're an aspiring filmmaker, it might be worth scouting as a filming location.

The friendly staff were the one thing I can praise. The hotel sits in an industrial area and needs renovation. The floors need cleaning, and the yogis should be changed. I can't say anything good about the food either. Breakfast costs an extra 10 euros per person, but what we got was cold and tasteless. The indoor pool and surrounding facilities are crumbling and need a thorough overhaul. The only things that even resemble a spa are the saunas, and those weren't operating.

The location was awful, in a completely industrial area with nothing nearby. This is probably the worst hotel I've stayed in. Turkish Airlines put us here after a delay on their end, but for those 12 hours I wish I'd stayed at the airport. The hotel is very old and poorly maintained, and the mosquitoes seemed to be the main guests. By the time we got to breakfast, 45-50 minutes before it closed, hardly any food was left. The AC in our room didn't work, and they didn't fix it. Instead, they left us an air cooler that just moved the hot air around.
