Larissa Phaselis Princess Hotel - All Inclusive

I stayed six days, and the experience was horrible. This is the poorest quality hotel I've ever been to, and I don't believe it's a five-star place. I wouldn't recommend it. The room views were beautiful, but the bathrooms were old and poorly maintained. The staff didn't know enough, and I had to ask several people even for simple answers. Food was edible if you were very hungry, but you had to like chicken and turkey. There was no beef at any time of day. One night they didn't even have ice for drinks, so the alcohol was warm.

We tried to check out as soon as we saw the state of the place, but couldn't find anyone to discuss it with. People kept sending us to someone else, and cancelling one night felt like being stuck in a huge bureaucracy. There was no system. The rooms aren't maintained and felt like nothing had been renovated since the 1940s or 50s. The food was horrible. It's called full pension, but there was hardly anything edible, and it seemed like they tried to do everything as cheaply as possible. One of the poorest hotels I've seen. They call it five stars, but it doesn't even deserve two. Unbelievable.

The location is great and the staff are good, but that's about it. The rooms are in very poor condition and need major renovation. The food is limited and poor. The hotel seems aimed at Russian tourists and Turks, and by European standards it fits a two- to three-star category. I wouldn't recommend it to European travelers.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but tried to rent a beach bungalow. During registration we told the staff about five times that we weren't hotel guests. We were sent to administrative staff, charged $20, and given a special bracelet. Ten minutes later at the beach, someone rudely told us they'd failed to realize we weren't guests, and that we could either pay another $20 or leave for free. We were offended by the way we were treated and decided to go. Staff tried to send the $20 back through a card provider, but couldn't, so we left without a refund.
