Formback Thermal Hotel Bursa

The bathrooms had no fans and smelled bad, and the bathroom door wouldn't even open. There was constant noise from upstairs and downstairs, and the receptionist was rude, only telling us to wait until maintenance was done. I booked hoping for a relaxing family vacation, but that wasn't what we got. It was described as a four-star hotel, but felt like an apartment building scamming people. Don't waste your time or money here.

We were six people on a family vacation with three room reservations. The accommodation was moderate, the staff very kind, and breakfast delicious with plenty to eat. But information about the stay and included services was partial or missing. The women's pool and hamam were under construction, so use was limited to one hour and required an advance reservation. The fitness room also cost extra, even though the website showed something different. I gave it three stars because of the kind staff, though it's really a two-star apart-hotel. Not recommended, but it's your choice.

There was a cockroach in the only bathroom we could use. We had booked two connected rooms, but one bathroom smelled so bad we had to shut it and use the other. The room wasn't clean at check-in, and the bathroom was disgusting. The smell came from the piping and didn't go away with cleaning, but when we complained, they just sprayed air freshener and left. They refused to move us or refund the rest of our stay when we wanted to cancel. We were also told the room would have a washing machine like the others, but it didn't. Room service would say “ok” when we asked for something, then ignore us. If I could give less than one star, I would.

The room had plenty of space, and the beds were changed daily, so no complaints there. Most staff were helpful, though a little gloomy. The air conditioning was dreadful and left the room so stuffy I could hardly breathe. Each day I had to go to reception to get the link card for the room sorted out. We were especially disappointed by the thermal pool setup, which was why we chose this hotel away from the center. The family pool was barely bigger than a large bath and cost 100TL for an hour. Men and women had separate pools, so our family couldn't bathe together. I wouldn't recommend the hotel if you want to use the family thermal pool.
