Nazli Apartment

Good hotel.

The apartment worked well for a big family. It has five rooms and two bathrooms, though only one bathroom has a water heater. Four rooms each have two bunk beds, so there are four beds in each of those rooms. Three rooms have air conditioning. The kitchen is compact, with a kettle, electric stove, and a few plates, spoons, and forks.

We had a three-bedroom apartment, and the main reason I might return is that there are plenty of beds for a large family. The place was clean, the linen was clean too, and having a parking space, an elevator, and easy car access was helpful. We ran into some frustrating gaps. Even though we paid for everyone, there weren't enough towels, so it was lucky we brought our own. The kitchen had no dishes at all, not even mugs or spoons, and nearby shops had no disposable tableware either. Our paper cups came in handy. There was just one key for all of us. Once, I went out to the car and the others couldn't get into the hotel because the person holding the key was already in the room. They couldn't reach him, and the numbers posted by the door weren't answering, so they waited until they finally got through to a neighbor. Two mosques sit on opposite sides of the building. That's a plus for some, but their services around 5 or 6 a.m. woke all the children and kept us adults from sleeping well. If we came again, everyone would still need to bring their own things.

We stayed for nine days and asked for cleaning every day, but they kept putting us off until we left. The kitchen was in awful shape too. There wasn't a pot, just a griddle for frying eggs.
