Park Square Hotel

We booked directly for two nights at a price given to us by the Iraqi manager, and he put us in the Suite. He said another guest had booked it for the following day, but that we could stay if they cancelled. Otherwise, he said we would move to another room. The next day he told us the hotel was fully booked. It seemed he had taken guests staying longer and wanted the extra money instead of keeping his word about moving us. Money over morals, it seems.

It's very close to Trabzon meydan, with coffee shops, restaurants, and everything else nearby. The breakfast is moderate and the lobby is small. There’s only one very small lift, so it’s hard to catch and not enough. No safe box in the rooms, and the toilet is very small.

The breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were friendly. The location is especially handy, about two minutes from the central downtown square where you can find all kinds of services. Supervisor Mr. Abu Ahmed was particularly helpful, sharing useful places to visit and exchange money, and suggesting how best to get to the destination I wanted.

The room was comfortable, the hotel very clean, and the staff really friendly. I also asked for a honeymoon package, and they put it together very well. There’s an Arab section apartement with modifications that suit an Arab bathroom. The hotel is outstanding.
