Lavanta Hotel Turunc

We’re very happy with our stay. There’s a real family atmosphere, and the staff are kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a huge balcony. Breakfast has loads to choose from and is superb. The location is amazing, with a breathtaking view.

From our balcony, the views over Turunc Bay were spectacular each morning. The hotel sits among rugged mountains and nature, and we felt peaceful and relaxed from the moment we arrived. We were looking for a quiet, authentic stay at a small family run hotel, and Lavanta Butik gave us that and more. What made it even better were the hospitable hosts. All the staff were warm, welcoming, attentive, and ready to answer even our smallest questions. We always felt they cared about our comfort.

We spent seven nights here and had an amazing stay. The sea and mountains around the hotel made for incredible views. Everything was immaculately clean, which made it all the more comfortable and relaxing. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. Hotel owner Ekrem deserves special thanks for making us feel at home and suggesting places to visit. I’d highly recommend staying here for a visit to Marmaris, Turkey.

I left feeling awful, and my holiday was spoiled. I’d already paid, but the young manager, the owner’s son, kept asking me to pay again. I think he was trying to scam me. He had asked if I could pay in Euros, which was fine, but when it came time to pay he wanted cash, and I didn’t have any. He gave me what I think was his private bank account details, including the name and address, so I transferred 2300 euro for 3 rooms, including simple breakfast and a simple lunch, then sent him the payment confirmation. About two hours later, he knocked on my door with his sister and said there was a bank problem and I should reverse the transfer. I told him that wasn’t possible once it had been paid, but he kept insisting and saying I had to pay again. I refused. Then he said he’d call the police, and I told him to go ahead. About half an hour later they knocked again. I was getting very angry and raised my voice because I’d paid and he was trying to get the money twice. Four police men arrived. I showed them the proof of payment, and they said it was fine. The money arrived the next day, as international bank transfers take a day.
