Breakfast was a highlight for all of us, especially the kids. There was plenty of variety, something new each morning, and lovely fresh produce from the garden. The Kaya family also made us feel so welcome and were happy to help with anything we needed. They booked a green tour, which we recommend, and a balloon flight. Both were A+ experiences, especially the Royal Balloons flight. Our family of four stayed six nights in the family room, and the layout worked so well that nobody felt cramped. It had two bathrooms and a separate big spa bath, which was wonderful to come back to in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable, and the furnishings were beautiful. In fact, the whole hotel is furnished with such care and detail that it really creates that castle feeling. You can tell the family has put a lot of heart into the guest experience. The kids adored the hotel's friendly dog, and Mr. Kamal, who runs the place, was always available and passionate about the business. We had a small misunderstanding about some services, but he was approachable and we worked it out smoothly. We stayed at Alika Castle House, Uçhisar in the Family Room with Jacuzzi, which suited us and our two children well. It’s a small family-run hotel with plenty of parking, just a few steps from Uçhisar. Göreme, with its shops and restaurants, is about a five-minute drive away. Having a car made exploring Cappadocia convenient. The hotel can also arrange tour pickups at no extra cost. Things we enjoyed included Uçhisar Castle, watching the balloons from the ground, a photo shoot at Balloon Watch Point, Kaymaklı Underground City, a night stroll in Göreme, and a Turkish Hamam. Erciyes Ski Resort was a 1.30-hour drive. We also had breakfast at Prime Café, a lively restaurant near Cappadocia University. Watching the balloons from the ground was every bit as magical as flying. A few small things could make the stay better: daily water refills and coffee packs in the room, a small bin, toiletries, and extra toilet rolls. For families visiting Cappadocia, this is a great choice. We hope Mr. Kamal and his family have a wonderful Eid and all the best with the business.

We ordered a latte and cappuccino and were charged 450 lire for the two. A cappuccino at Starbucks normally costs only 160 lire, so this felt like a rip-off. Don’t come here for coffee.

The staff were so helpful, and the rooms are clean and each one has its own character. Breakfast had a nice range of food, freshly prepared by the owner's family. Such a lovely little hotel with amazing design. Everything was perfect, and they made our Cappadocia stay memorable. Highly recommend it if you're in the area ❤️
