The view from the terrace at sunrise is something I’ll always remember. Having coffee while the balloons drifted over the valley was one of our trip’s highlights. We’ve tried a few cave hotels, but Taşkonaklar felt different and really captured our hearts. The rooms were warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, and we felt at home. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive whenever we needed them. Breakfast at Moniq restaurant deserves a mention too, it was beautifully served and absolutely delicious. In January, soaking in the hot jacuzzi on the terrace with winter air and silence around us felt like pure magic. We also loved how warmly they welcomed our dog. It means a lot to find a place that treats pets with such genuine kindness.

The hotel felt like home, thanks to the wonderful staff, and it was so clean with care given to even the smallest details. Mr. Mustafa was attentive and helpful throughout, making everything more comfortable and enjoyable. I’m also grateful to Mr. Russel and Mr. Ali from the dining and breakfast service. Their kind, cooperative manner and warm smiles made our mornings much nicer.

We booked the Royal king suite with an outdoor hot tub and fireplace, and I fell in love with it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed, with a comfortable bed, all the amenities, a cozy living and dining area, and a fireplace. My favorite was the huge balcony, where we had a hot tub and spectacular views of Pigeon Valley. So romantic, and a stay I’ll remember for life. It was a highlight of my Cappadocia trip. I was impressed by the service as soon as we arrived. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, check-in went smoothly, and there was a welcome drink station with snacks and several drinks to choose from.

The cave rooms were calm and authentic, right by Pigeon Valley, with a beautiful, peaceful view. We especially loved rooms 106, 502, and 503. On our last morning the wind shifted, sending all the hot air balloons closer to the hotel. It was incredible seeing them from so near.

The rooms and staff were amazing, but the photos gave a misleading impression of the balloon views. You can’t see the hot air balloons from your room, hot tub, or the hotel terrace, apart from a couple when there are over a hundred. To see them, you’ll need to hike up the hill to the other side of Uchisar Castle. There was also a mix-up over whether breakfast was included, so we missed out on it for most of our stay.
