Muse Cappadocia

The room was solid and the service was good, but we were hit with a surprise common-area fee when checking out after a four-night stay at the Muse hotel. My friends and I had used the space outside breakfast hours to eat breakfast, play cards, and meet up. We were mindful of other guests and cleaned up. There was nowhere else for guests to meet, and no signs, notices, or warnings from staff about a charge. It felt made up. The front desk worker said he thought we shouldn't have to pay, but was following orders from a boss we never saw. We told them we were unhappy, paid the fee, and nothing was done to fix the situation. Because of that shady behaviour, we don't recommend this place.

We spent our whole Cappadocia trip here and enjoyed the stay. The staff were lovely and tried to help when the wifi wouldn't work in our room. It still didn't work, so if you don't have mobile data, you'll probably need to use the wifi on the terrace. Roadside parking was handy with our rental car. The rooms were decently clean, and the hot tub was great. Breakfast was included, with a delicious spread and an amazing view from the terrace. We'd gladly recommend the hotel.

Mr. Mustafa, Ismail, and Sumeya treated us with such respect and kindness. We were given a beautiful room with lovely romantic touches, and it was very clean and comfortable, with a jacuzzi. The breakfast was the best of all the hotels I've stayed at in Turkey, with a wonderful range of fresh fruit and food. Many thanks to the ladies who prepared it. Tea, coffee, and water were always available on the top floor. We definitely recommend staying here.

The breakfast was good, but surprise charges took over the experience. At checkout, we found out we'd be charged for using the common area, including fees based on how many times we sat there. We were even charged for the shared space used for the complimentary breakfast. None of this had been explained in advance. There were no signs and nobody mentioned it at check-in. The lack of clear communication felt unfair and left us feeling taken advantage of. Beware of hidden costs if you stay at The Muse Hotel. I can't recommend it because of those unexpected fees.
