Kure Dag Evi

Those cottages having their own fireplaces was a lovely extra. My father and I stayed for two days, and the owners were warm company as well as kind hosts who made us decent food. The scenery is beautiful, and their tips for walks and places to see really shaped our time nearby, especially the Guzelcehisar lava columns and Horma kanyon. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The cottage option made an already lovely stay feel even more memorable. Kure Dag Evi is set in Kure Dag National Park and built with care around the natural surroundings. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and the welcoming staff were great. Meals are cooked fresh on site using local ingredients like milk, eggs, dairy products, and fish. I’d happily recommend it.

Even with a few hiccups, the owners were patient and kind, and sorted things out quickly. We spent three days in February in the bungalow by the waterfall, which felt very comfortable. It had a bedroom, shower bathroom, living room with a sofa bed, and a well-equipped kitchen. There are a-la-carte meals at the restaurant if you don’t want to cook. It’s still a mountain bungalow, so keep expectations in check. Internet was nearly nonexistent, though there might be some coverage near the entrance; they offered Wifi, but we opted for board games from the owners instead. The animals, including a dog, cat, and two geese, added to the calm setting. A car is useful for getting to waterfalls, but the owners can help arrange a ride or share the nearby taxi driver’s number. We travelled with mister Onur and were very happy with the service. We’d go back.

The natural setting was beautiful, and the hosts were so welcoming. I spent a week here, with a clean room, delicious food, and amazing service. It’s family run, and I only wish I could’ve stayed longer.
