Kavacık Asia Hotel

The location and nearby amenities were good, and the staff were super nice. The room was cleaned, the bed was large and soft, and the view was nice. But the hotel itself was sub-par, two stars on a good day. The bathroom door was broken, as if someone had put a fist through it, the modular rug kept shifting, and there were spots of mold in the bathroom. I think the refurbishing is down to what the owners invest, rather than the cleaning staff, who seemed to be trying their best. The main issue was the owner and my refund. I paid for a 30-day stay, but unforeseen circumstances meant I had to leave after four days. I agreed with the staff that I'd get around 60% back after a negotiated rate, early cancellation fee, and bank fees. A week passed, then two, with no refund. They kept adding requirements: first a TL account, then one from Turkey, then one in my own name. They knew that as a tourist I couldn't have a Turkish account in TL, and I felt they didn't want to return the money. I had to contact the Embassy and pay a lawyer to get it back. The hotel is two stars, but the staff are lovely. Hope you never need a refund.

I was there for four nights and housekeeping didn't come once.

It was a very calm place and close to my clinic. The receptionist was nice and recommended Amala Joint. I ordered Nigerian dishes from there throughout my seven-day stay.

The smell was so bad I nearly threw up. The towels were dirty, and there was mold on the windowsills. We weren't given a WiFi password, and breakfast wasn't included. It wasn't sanitary at all and definitely wasn't worth the asking price. Stay away.
