We stayed in the Byzantine King Suite and loved the quiet. It was roomy, with a nice Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna, and a romantic fireplace. The room was clean and well kept, and breakfast had lots of variety. The restaurant's food was fresh and much better than I expected. Everyone was friendly: reception was helpful, Ms Tuğba made us feel welcome, and Hakan served us kindly at the restaurant. Mustafa was kind to us at breakfast too.

Breakfast was a lovely Turkish spread, brought to the table, and our room had everything we needed, including a coffee machine and jet bath. It was spacious, warm, and cozy. From the moment we arrived, the welcome made us feel at home away from home.

I really liked the calm atmosphere and would stay here again. It's a charming, warm cave hotel, and the staff were so friendly that I felt at home. They only serve breakfast, but it's fresh and delicious each morning.

For a quiet place to unwind after a day out exploring, I'd recommend Gamirasu hotel. It's about a 15-minute drive from Ürgüp, so it's not very close to town. The rooms are comfortable and private, the staff are polite, helpful, and professional, and the food is fresh, tasty, and varied.

The cave setting makes for a memorable stay, but I wouldn't describe it as luxury. I came away feeling that the novelty was stronger than the comfort, and it didn't meet the expectations set by a five-star rating. Having stayed in a cave in Coober Pedy, I didn't find this one especially distinctive beyond being a cave. Our room felt underwhelming: the bed was uncomfortable, parts of the wall were crumbling, and it wasn't very cozy. The buffet was average, with nothing awful but nothing memorable either. Amenities were basic, with no gym or exercise facilities. It's also quite far from Cappadocia's towns and main sights, which makes getting around inconvenient. If sleeping in a cave is the main reason for coming, the experience is there. For true five-star comfort, though, you may be disappointed. Worth the story, but not the luxury. 3/5.
