The Cave House

The owners arranged tours for us and shared plenty of travel tips and general information. Breakfast satisfied us completely, and the prices were fair. It's centrally located in Ürgüp, and the cave rooms are clean and unique. The hotel is well kept, and the staff are helpful, friendly, and honest. We'll come again.

I stayed in different parts of Türkiye for nearly three months, trying hotels from very cheap to very expensive. For the price, I think this is the best hotel in Turkiye. It isn't fancy, but the owner is unusually friendly and responds quickly and properly when you ask for help. The room was warm and cozy, with everything I needed. If you make a reasonable request, just tell the owner and he'll sort it out. I booked two nights, but liked the area and found the hotel so comfortable that I extended for another two. The owner also helped me, as a foreigner, get a balloon tour for less than other tourists paid. The free breakfast was delicious, too. I know traditional Turkish breakfast, or kahvaltı, and was surprised that the same menu tasted considerably better here than at other hotels. If I return to Cappadocia, I'll definitely stay here again. I hope the hotel keeps going. İyi şanslar 🍀 (Good luck.)

We stayed here during our 2022 honeymoon road trip. The staff were brilliant and helped me order dinner through a local app. It was good value, and a short walk takes you to the centre of Goreme, where we found restaurants serving delicious local food and dessert shops. The tourist sights around Cappadocia, like Love Valley, hot air balloons, and horseback riding, were a moderate drive away. A great stay, with attractions nearby by car.

The Cave House hotel in Urgup was a great base for exploring Cappadocia, with the city center within walking distance and a safe, friendly community around it. Staff were helpful and accommodating, arranging transport and tours and being flexible about payments. My room got a bit warm in summer since there was no air conditioning, but opening the windows for fresh air worked for me. I had an excellent stay and would highly recommend it to anyone after a unique, authentic experience.
