Being on campus is the only real advantage, and some of the staff are okay. Otherwise, this dorm isn't worth the price. The breakfast is the only food available, and its quality isn't decent. Cleanliness is poor too, even the bathroom drains aren't cleaned. Prices have nearly doubled since last year despite no improvements, and the place wasn't worth it even before. It doesn't matter what it used to be like, it's a monopoly now.

The only real advantages are that it's on campus and feels safe. The staff are very friendly, and you can stop for a chat; those two points are for them. The value for money is poor. The room's cleanliness is disgusting. It had been mopped, but the floor was muddy, and the bathroom was covered in the previous student's droppings. The toilet is old and dirty, and the shower drain is so narrow you can barely turn the water on properly. There's hardly room to cook on the tiny kitchen counter. The cabinets are so high that even reaching the top with a ladder could be difficult, they're around 160 meters.

There are newer rooms shown online and during a visit to the dorm, but I don't even want to compare the room I was shown with the one I actually got. There were mice in the room. The owners advertise

İYTE has a monopoly over its two restaurants, markets, and dormitories, and prices have risen by almost 100%. Asking 240,000 TL for a double room is shameful. The room toilets are old and often malfunction, and the electric stoves don't work. I'd be far better off renting an apartment than paying so much here.
