The Ascents of Urla

Saturday’s live music, paired with a nice menu and wine, made for a really enjoyable weekend. We liked the food, and breakfast was varied and more than enough, with large, filling eggs. Since we’d had our fill of Urla fine dining after a few days, a poolside snack menu at lunchtime might be a nice option too. The hotel is close to Urla center, and it takes no more than 10 minutes to reach the main road. The rooms had thoughtful little touches. I don’t know much about brands, but my wife said everything from the linens to the cutlery was high quality. The staff were polite and attentive, and you can see their motivation and effort, especially since the hotel is new. There wasn’t a brief, clear introduction when we first arrived, but whenever we asked, they helped us with everything. Thanks to Mr. Arda for his care and help. The internet was fast enough for us to watch a high-quality movie on the terrace at night without buffering. Apparently the stone café in the center of Yağcılar village is run by the hotel. Its menu is broader and more varied than the hotel’s, and could suit anyone after an alternative meal without going far from the area. They’ve saved me the trouble of looking for a hotel next time I come to Urla. I’ll always recommend it to friends visiting the region.

Our stay was really satisfying. It’s a peaceful, clean little boutique hotel with five rooms, a pool, and a view, surrounded by nature. Prices are very reasonable, and the kitchen does a great job: breakfast and meals were delicious, and the broad wine selection was a nice extra. You can tell guest comfort matters in all the details. The whole team was sincere and attentive, especially Mr. Arda, who made us feel comfortable and safe. We didn’t have a car, but he sorted out transportation for us and suggested wonderful restaurants, which made the trip even better.
