Royal Milano Hotel

The food and service were good, which is why I gave it two stars. Otherwise, it would have been minus 5 stars. The place needs a major upgrade everywhere. Carpeting throughout the hotel is extremely poor quality and filthy beyond description. The bathroom light is very dim, the shower is in sad shape, and the towels were old and coming apart. It looks like the hotel has been neglected for years, with no reinvestment since it opened.

We expected three beds, but only two were provided, with the third being a guest bed, as you can see in the pics. Check exactly what they promised for your room. Breakfast was good, though mostly different types of cheese. The rooms had nice couches and were tidy, but they weren't cleaned during our three-day stay. I never saw the cleaning crew working. The place is comfortable and lovely, but it didn't meet what we expected of a 4-star hotel. The receptionists had poor communication and behavior, and didn't seem to listen to our problems. Only one worker among the many really helped. It feels like there's no one responsible, with staff passing you from one person to another. The internet sucks, just forget about it.

We've stayed at many hotels, and this is the first time we've had this happen. Now that we're back home, we've noticed that many of our things are missing, even though we're sure we brought them to the hotel. The staff are all thieves. Please be careful. I really don't want this to happen to anyone else. If this has happened to anyone else, please share your experience so we can prevent another guest from going through it.

Breakfast was another letdown, with other guests' meals being brought back to the table. In the restaurant, a young man was very impolite and even said he owned the hotel. During my stay, the bath towels seemed to be reused from other rooms, folded while still wet and left on the bed. It was a very bad experience.
