We were the first guests in the new bungalows, and our little house was cosy and clean, with everything we needed: a stove, air conditioner, TV and bathroom. The view was amazing. You can cook for yourself there, though I highly recommend eating at their restaurant. Breakfast was tasty and amazing, the grilled fish was perfect, and the restaurant’s setting is beautiful. You’re literally eating above the river.

We arrived in the off-season to find the hotel we’d booked through booking.com was actually closed. The owner of Selalesi was renovating, saw us looking lost as we walked by, and offered us a room. The service and location were wonderful, and it cost less than the booking.com options. The room was a little basic, but the view was nice and there was a fireplace, so we were more than happy.

I booked what was supposed to be the biggest, most luxurious room to please my wife, but it was filthy. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and, at night, rats scurried through gaps between the walls. Even though it was cold, breakfast and dinner weren’t served indoors, so we ate breakfast outside in the cold. We definitely won’t choose this place again.

The location is truly unique, and the food was delicious. Breakfast and the warm pita bread were fantastic. Our room was a bit small, but it was hygienic.
